VRIDHACHALAM OUTCROP: Named after Mattur village, Vridhachalam area, TamilNadu. Type locality = Only in water wells at Mattur village.

Lithology and Thickness

Sandstone. Un-cemented medium- to coarse-grained sandstone with interlayers and lenses of cemented grainstone (calcarenite) and thin seams of coquina limestone (Sundaram et al., 2001).
